D-myo-Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (Ins(1,4,5)P3, IP3) is an important intracellular second messenger involved in phosphoinositide signaling. Ins(1,4,5)P3 binds to IP3 receptors and induces the release of Ca2+ from intracellular stores.

Ins(1,4,5)P3 is widely used in biochemical and cell signaling research to investigate IP3 receptor function, intracellular calcium mobilization and inositol phosphate signaling. This product is supplied as the hexasodium salt.
