Bt3-Ins(146)P3 / PM

Bt3-Ins(1,4,6)P3/PM is a membrane-permeant, bioactivatable derivative of myo-inositol 1,4,6-trisphosphate (Ins(1,4,6)P3).

The negatively charged phosphate groups are masked by propionoxymethyl (PM) ester groups, while additional butyryl ester groups increase lipophilicity and facilitate cellular uptake. Following entry into cells, intracellular esterases cleave the ester groups, enabling intracellular delivery of the corresponding inositol trisphosphate.

Bt3-Ins(1,4,6)P3/PM is suitable for cellular studies investigating the biological activity and positional specificity of inositol trisphosphate isomers and for comparative studies with other membrane-permeant inositol phosphate derivatives.
