SH-5 (Akt Inhibitor II, PIA 5) is a phosphatidylinositol analogue used to investigate Akt-dependent signaling. SH-5 inhibits Akt activation and has been studied for its effects on cell survival, proliferation, apoptosis and NF-κB-dependent signaling.
SH-5 is used as a research tool for investigating the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway and Akt-dependent cellular responses.
