myo-Inositol 1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate (Ins(1,3,4,5,6)P5) is a naturally occurring inositol pentakisphosphate and an important intermediate in cellular inositol phosphate metabolism.

Ins(1,3,4,5,6)P5 is a substrate of inositol pentakisphosphate 2-kinase (IPK1/IP5-2K), which phosphorylates the free 2-hydroxyl group to generate InsP6. It has also been investigated in inositol phosphate signaling, phosphate homeostasis and the metabolism of inositol pyrophosphates.

This product is supplied as the decasodium salt and is suitable for biochemical and analytical studies of inositol phosphate metabolism and inositol phosphate-metabolizing enzymes.
