D-myo-Inositol 2,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate (Ins(2,3,4,5,6)P5) is a defined regioisomer of inositol pentakisphosphate (InsP5) and an intermediate in cellular inositol phosphate metabolism.

Ins(2,3,4,5,6)P5 has been identified as a major product of InsP6 dephosphorylation catalyzed by inositol hexakisphosphate kinases (IP6Ks) under conditions of a reduced cellular ATP/ADP ratio. It has therefore been investigated in studies of cellular energy-dependent inositol phosphate metabolism.

This product is supplied as the decasodium salt and is suitable as a defined standard and substrate for biochemical and analytical studies of inositol phosphate metabolism.
