Bt3-Ins(134)P3 / AM

Bt3-Ins(1,3,4)P3/AM is a membrane-permeant, bioactivatable derivative of myo-inositol 1,3,4-trisphosphate (Ins(1,3,4)P3).

The negatively charged phosphate groups are masked by acetoxymethyl (AM) ester groups, while additional butyryl ester groups facilitate cellular uptake. Following entry into cells, intracellular esterases cleave the ester groups, enabling intracellular delivery of Ins(1,3,4)P3.

Bt3-Ins(1,3,4)P3/AM has been used to investigate the cellular functions of Ins(1,3,4)P3, including its regulation of Ins(3,4,5,6)P4 metabolism and effects on chloride secretion. It is suitable for studies requiring intracellular delivery of Ins(1,3,4)P3 without direct microinjection.
