Bt3-Ins(146)P3 / AM

Bt3-Ins(1,4,6)P3/AM is a membrane-permeant, bioactivatable derivative of myo-inositol 1,4,6-trisphosphate (Ins(1,4,6)P3).

The negatively charged phosphate groups are masked by acetoxymethyl (AM) ester groups, while additional butyryl ester groups increase lipophilicity and facilitate cellular uptake. Following entry into cells, intracellular esterases cleave the ester groups, enabling intracellular delivery of the corresponding inositol trisphosphate.

Bt3-Ins(1,4,6)P3/AM is suitable for biochemical and cellular studies investigating the biological activity, metabolism and positional specificity of inositol trisphosphate isomers, including comparative studies with other membrane-permeant inositol phosphate derivatives.
